To summon this mob, players will need to bring a golden egg to the nest, which will cause Daetan Swiftplume to spawn. This is part of the Noblegarden questline, which ends with this fight.

Loot-Filled Basket has a chance of containing this mount. You can get it once per day per lvl 60+ character from turning in Feathered Fiend (A) or Feathered Fiend (H). You can get that quest by killing Daetan Swiftplume (A) or Daetan Swiftplume (H). Sharing the quest is no longer possible.

The Noble Flying Carpet is an extremely rare drop from the Loot-Filled Basket, so far recorded to be less than a one percent chance. The Loot-Filled Basket is given as a reward from Zinnia Brooks (Alliance) or Sylnaria Fareflame (Horde) after turning in the quest 'Feathered Fiend.
