What is the hardest map to beat in Ark? ›

Scorched Earth adds 12 new creatures with 5 variations, 60 new engrams, a new boss, and a whole new map. Creatures tamed and items received can be brought to the vanilla island and used by people with and without the expansion. Items from the DLC can also be spawned manually if you don't own the expansion pack.

Scorched Earth's Desert Is Ark's Smallest Map

Though it may not seem like it, Scorched Earth's Desert map is significantly smaller than The Island.

The Island is definitely not the easiest map. But with the other maps it depends what kind of easy you are talking about. Looking at the story maps, Gen 2 is the easiest based on survival but Scorched is the easiest to complete.

A decent DLC, but can be VERY boring at times especially with the harsher difficulty compared to the Island.
